Our CTO is having an issue with him BB:

According to RIM, when a message is either moved to a folder that is not being redirected, perminantly deleted (meaning it can no longer be found in deleted items), or is moved to a PST file before then BES server has reconciled messages (messages are reconciled at 20 min intervals) it will not be reconciled properly because BES cannot track the message anymore.

According to my CTO, his former company had it working just how he wants it and contrary to the white paper I have.

Does anyone have an idea where I go from here . . .??!!

You're CTO is mistaken. If an email is moved where the BES cannot find it, it will never reconcile. Period.

This was true up until BES 4.1

And you have to follow the KB I linked.

I spoke with RIM they said it does not work with people who are moving files to .pst's or folders that are not being redirected . . . however it will help out some . . .

Yes , RIM is absoultely correct:

BES 4.1 supports permanent deletes,however messages either moved to a .PST or a folder for which folder redirection is not enabled ,will not work.

You CTO is definitely mistaken or just plain lying..... (Send him the link to his thread )
