I tried again now, with the same result.

I love to contribute to the site, but I think I tried more than ten times with no luck. I guess I'm either stupid, or something is wrong with a section of the site or both.

Clearly there is an issue, and I posted the returned error message. Also, notice, there has been no posts in the 9100 section since many days.

Here is the post. Maybe the administrator could paste it in the right section (and log in as a "normal" visitor and see if the error occurs).

Thanks. I thought I was totally stupid.

At last... someone who takes my post seriously.

I've been participating for awhile, and finally today I wanted to post a new thread and I can't figure out how. Could it be related to this problem that Mandel raises?

I've searched the site, including the FAQ, for "post new thread" and similar searches, but there's nothing. So the only conclusion I can reach is that there's a place to post new threads that is simply not showing up on my screen. The site does say "You may post new threads" but I simply can't figure out how. Feel free to embarrass me by telling me how simple it is and how I just overlooked it -- Thanks!

P.S. While I'm asking basic questions, how do I change my user name? For example "Mandel/Talking BlackBerry Encyclopedia." Mine has had my personal email address (which I HATE having on boards) and "New Member" since I joined the forum in 2005! I've searched everywhere for how to change it. Maybe I just have to start a whole new persona?

1. Post new thread - There is a "NEW THREAD" button, top left for every forum.
2. It says "new member" because you've only posted 5 times
3. You cannot change your username. Perhaps a moderator may be able to.

We cannot help you. We are in no way connected to Blackberry or RIM.

I suggest you contact the local police and your cell carrier.

The PIN and IMEI are hard coded to the device and cannot be legally changed.

I am running into the same issue as a new user. I am logged in but either getting that fatal error 72 bytes or big white blank screen.

Later I was able to post. The 72 byte bug needs to be looked at.
