Default Release date for AT&T Bold 2?

Please Login to Remove!

I was using the BlackBerry Tour after having switched to that from the original Bold. I hated it and just switched back to AT&T temporarily using the Bold. My trackball crapped out on me and I was a week out of warranty. Fortunately for me, AT&T was nice enough to make an exception for me and gave me a replacement Bold. I'll be using the Bold temporarily until the Bold 2 comes out but that's not what I'm writing about here. My local AT&T store has no idea when the Bold 2 is slated to be released but however when I went down to another AT&T store, the gentleman who helped me with the replacement Bold mentioned that it's due to be released in about 3 weeks. He seemed pretty sure about that so there you have it, a possible release date.

I doubt they would release it on a Sunday. I have heard Nov 16th. They are still trying to get it certified.

Wasn't it already certified as of 11/2 when it passed the AT&T quality acceptance tests?

I'm really hoping that they release it on the 16th.

My source said he still saw members of the certify team with them. That's all I know.

I am hoping for no further delays like when the 9000 came out.

The waiting is the hardest part. Any REAL updates would be appreciated. Release the hounds!

Yes the original bold was realeased on a Tuesday. I was driving from Cape Cod to NYC that day. I feel like Blackberry always has a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday launch. Cause those are the days I work and I always line up at the store before it opens so I can get it before work

I signed up for the ATT email update and am yet to see anything from them.

It's due Nov. 27th, according to Wall Street Journal's Katie Boehret, in this video review Blog: Wall Street Journal Blackberry Bold Review

She wasn't too shy with the review she ended of by saying "But since many of the Bold 9700's features are about the same as less-expensive BlackBerrys, it's worth considering the Tour and Curve 8900 before you spend $200 on a device that no longer lives up to its bold name."

Just adding that she said it due November 27th on T-Mobile. No mention of when it will be available on at&t.

The 9700 is evolutionary, not revolutionary. The trackpad is very nice - and no more dirty track balls! Applications are running fine - even Office Communicator... Keyboard is closer to a Bold than to a Curve, but I'll survive

It's a VERY nice BlackBerry.

I've heard either Nov. 16 or Nov. 22 as the most legitimate possible dates. I can't wait for it!

My Government representative came by last Thursday with his 9700 showing it to me. The trackpad is a vast improvement over the trackball. No more grains of salt or dust to worry about or oil from your hands. It is about if not the same size as the Tour. I was told about two weeks then so we'll see. Must be out of testing mode, he said that's his phone now.

Default This just in...

I heard from an AT&T source on Thursday, that they had their first official mention of it in the weekly retail metting. They were told it would be out before Black Friday and they would find out more details at the next meeting on Thursday the 19th.

I was hoping before then, but oh well. I guess it could still happen earlier.

My Local AT&T Corporate store mentioned to me that they have received information that they will receive the phone on or before November 22.
Their memo said the LATEST they'll get it is the 22nd.
