My opinion I'm sticking with BB.
I have had chance to play with iPhone extensively and it just doesn't suit me! I love the security of the bb and its email service

As I used to own the iphone the data options were not bad. But what you really should as yourself is what do you really need a tool or a toy the iphone in no way does it match to a blackberry. The blackberry just does the job better in text messaging. E mail and just over all navigation and as a phone. Much better then the iphone. Good luck typing a message while driveing or even dieal a number. Can be hard. The screen on the iphone as no match I will say and as a music player it has no match. That's about it to be honest. That's why I treded my iphone on this forum for a curve and I also own a 8800 I was that disappointed in the iphone I would go to a apple store and just play with it for like 30 mins and see if u like it and. See if u can type on it that easy

Im in this same boat. I have an iPhone right now. I WAS a life long BB user. had the 7XXX series, had the first suretype keyboards, 8700C, pearl, 8800, and now an iPhone. First thing is that the iPhone battery STINKS. If you get a lot of corporate email its like the phone is web-browsing the whole time while its trying to pull those IMAP messages. By mid day on a weekday, im at 30% battery and Im gonna have to plug the thing in for a charge on the drive home if I want to chit chat. Build quality is second to none. Its actually the hardest thing for me to give up. The phone is just GORGEOUS. Optical glass doenst scratch and the aluminum body is just nice. The curve's build quality in comparison is a joke. Trading in my iPhone from this perspective feels like trading in my Lamborghini Murcielago for a Chevy Yukon. Performance wise its a different story. Once you get past the great user interface, it doenst have nav, you cant highlight ANYTHING and copy it. You cant search your call logs. You run out of SMS message storage space even though you have 8gigs of memory. LOVE the visual voicemail, but I can live without it. I cant search for anything on the phone. Did I mention the battery stinks? Keyboard reminds me of suretype. It gets 70% of the words right, but guesses incorrectly on some other words. You HAVE to be watching what youre typing. No spell check on this thing. I can type fast, but I cant type fast accurately and I NEVEr can get a message out without having to go back to fix something. Sending email from my corporate mailbox is a joke. ITS SLOW. Sometimes it takes nearly 5 minutes to open a message. Taking that all aside..the iPhone is like a hot chick who never went to college and sits at home and spends your money. You KNOW you can go for the so-so looking wholesome gal with the degree and will make your life better. But the BIMBO IS SO DAMNED NICE TO LOOK AT! And there lies the rub.

I guess im happy with my Bimbo.

I have a blackberry curve. Really like the functionality of it. I just wish the GUI was better. The GUI still has the old school look to me. If it had a GUI of the iphone but kept the functionality of the BB that would be a cell phone for use in paradise.

So tired of this thread
look its simple, the iphone is inferior to many phones, even some that came out last year. It doesnt offer things that many phones offer standard. On top of the fact that you are comparing two completly different types of phones. My basic answer is this,
iphone= toy
= tool

rj,
try telling that to the hundred of thousands of people who use them for business. Different people have different requirements out of their smartphones, in other words you BB works for you and guess what my iphone works for me, quite well btw.

Still
it is still technologically inferior to many many phones on the market. Also, as of yet, Apple doesn't offer any true business solutions. Sure, you can create your own, but RIM already has systems in place, you just gotta jump on. The iPhone is cute and all, but regardless, it is not a true business tool.

maybe not a BES / Corporate tool but many more people use smartphones for other things. It is different but it is not just a toy.

Don't bother with the iphone. Had one and got rid of it. Criticism's include you can't increase the volume of the phone therefore in loud environments or even semi loud, you can't hear a thing. The ringer can't be heard, and most of all, the battery does'nt compare to the BB. Have had an 8300, then 8310, now an 8820 and they only get better and better.

the iPhone entertained me for an hour before I got bored with it. Its a toy at the end of the day. Whereas my Blackberry is a true workhorse.
For design and features I would go for the iPhone, for function and getting important stuff done quickly I will keep my Blackberry.

i don't have a curve, i have a 8820 but i would never concider to change the BB for the iphone although i never used the iphone before. It just looks like a "cool gadget" but not very business minded...

Going on 3 months with mine and no complaints. Does email as I want it to and enjoy the browsing and media performance. Its all about what you want out of your phone, I have no need for BES, DOD security and its less per month than my BB.

WTF?
Dood, then go to iphonesource.com and be a little apple fan boy, biznatch.
This is "www.blackberryforums.com". Its weird that you have iphonesource.com in your sig but you keep coming back here.
You don't have to like the BB but stop trolling. We get it, you are now an apple fan boi, you have a new site that you either founded, or are just a member of, either way.
the forum description says:"Discuss any handheld Devices, Gadgets, etc. in this dedicated forum. No BlackBerry Discussions within." but its a fineline between discussing non blackberry and trolling / advertising your site, or your newly found site.
