I just got a call from my TMo rep and said they came in. He said he couldn't sell it to me until tomorrow. I am so jealous you have it a day early. It sounds like they might have jumped the gun early though.

I'd be interested to see some pictures of the device, and perhaps the size of the text on the screen as well.

How well does the IM application work? Is it "always-on", and allow for multitasking back to mail while the client is still running?

Yes I am very curious of the IM function as well as I had started a string about that a few weeks ago.

Please share your initial out of box experience.

When I get mine tomorrow I will post pictures and review the initial experience for all.

I'd like to see a side by side pic of the 7100 and the 7230.

Please give us a review. I have to wait until next week because I am purchasing form sessionware.com for just under $100. They have the best deal but don't expect to have their shipment until early next week.

Two things I am interested in when you get around to it in your testing:

1) How does the intelligent keyboard work for proper names (and, what is the key to force it to use a particular letter); and

2) Does it come with any games???

Thanks.

What are the implications of this? SMS cost? (though i think the plan is unlimited SMS right?) SMS speed?

I take it this is different than webmessenger would function? If so, would webmessenger still be a better choice (though requiring BES)?

Can anyone tell me if you can have distinctive ring? Different ringtones for different contacts?

Seeing how you're the first with a 7100, and we're clueless about the IM client built into it... you might have to tackle this one on your own and let us know :(
