Default Trying to setup email but only option is using BES, why?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everybody!
I'm trying to setup my email on my BB9700, the only option i get is to setup email using BES, i want a personal email.

I have searched the forum but can't find the answer i need. I've found ppl with same problem and the answer they all got was "You need BIS." The problem is, i have BIS and still i only get the BES setup option.

Please help me, what's wrong!?

Sounds like your carrier hasn't set it up correctly.

Problem almost solved...

The carrier forgot to tell me that i had to log onto the carrier website for blackberry ("carrier".blackberry.com) to registrer. But when I did a got a message telling me my BIS was suspended or deactivated and i had to call my carrier... but everything else that needs BIS works perfectly fine so i started thinking, since you use the PIN and IMEI nr and not the cellnr to registrer and my phone isn't from the carrier so they don't have this number, how do "they" know if i even have a BIS... turns out it wasn't the carriers fault, apperently there is some kind of a block in either my phone or at Blackberry UK, the good thing is Blackberry UK can fix it without having my phone, they only needed the PIN and IMEI nr... so according to my carrier it will be up and runing by friday.

Hope this helps other ppl with the same problem... i'll let u know when and if it works out.
