Just the SIM, the IMIE is not needed.

If you ask me, the answer is no.

Of course, somebody is going to tell you differently.

no, you want my IMEI? All an imei is is just a number that is recognized with your phone.

For example, 357xxxxxxxxxxxx is a blackberry, 359xxxxxxxxxxxx is a razr etc. What am i going to do with an IMEI? I'm not that smart ;)

clone are sort of a thing of the past, people have to much information too quickly, online account acces, etc. Plus between the imei, hex and esn it's a difficult proposition...

I just wanted to clarify that I didn't think Dizzle was a bad guy or anything remote. Being a complete newbie to BB and to the concept of unlocking the phone, I was just asking newbie q's/concerns regarding the process

Especially since Dizzle is doing a wonderful service for free when other sites are charging anywhere from $35-175 for it...

Could be Cingular trying to scare me but the sales guy told me that I shouldn't try to get this 8700c unlocked as the data service will stop working and will void my BB warranty. True? I would like to use my BB in Ireland with Vodaphone. Thx.

it will void ur warranty, but it will not ruin ur data.

never ask a sales rep certain questions when it comes to ur service, most of them are morons.

Thumbs down GSMlocker issues?

So I paid gsmlocker.com $150 to get my 8700r unlocked, and they sent me a 8 digit code - aren't these codes supposed to be 16 digits? Needless to say it didn't work.

Anyone else had any issues with these guys?

Who can help me unlock an 8700R so I can put in a T-Mobile sim card...I am moving from Canada to the US and desperately need to use it. Rogers don't want to give me the codes.

Thanks
