i am a Lotus guy who just inherited BES Admin duty. I need to get Lotus sametime clients running on a Torch, a Curve, and a Bold ASAP. Any good documentation to recommend? The more basic the better.

First you need to download the Sametime Client.

Then you have to determine how you want to deploy the client. Check the bottom of the link for directions. My personal favorite is through a software configuration created on the BES and then pushed out to the users.

I use this method for Sametime for select users. This method was also used by LOTS of us during the original Daylight Savings Time scenario back in 2007.

Besides my ignorance, my predecessor left no information. Is there any easy way to determine the name of the servce account?

usually it is BESAdmin, and you can log in as administrator and look at BES Services to see what they are logged in as
