I've been trying to find something similar and haven't found a fix yet.

A few days ago, I was trying to click on an icon on my Pearl, and discovered, that it would try to type "q" or "w" or "e", mostly "q". It is quite bothersome, but I've found a workaround using the enter key.

Now how do I fix this? I've tried a battery reset, opened it up and cleaned it, no physical damage that I've noticed? I've thought of everything I can short of resetting it, but then I've read a few posts where people have done that and it still persists, so it might be a hardware issue. Just wondering if there is anything else that I could possibly do. It might be time for a new phone, I've had this one for a little over a year, and I've had it replaced once, so I don't think the warranty is good.
