EDIT: I am just being goofy, they are trying to justify it as, "what's illegal about distributing something that will be free, and eventually come out anyway?"
I just hate to have to use other "share"ing sites...this one was so nice and easy.

Because there are too many people out there that would sue RIM for messing up their BBs even though they got bad software from an unauthorized site.
