Default Blackberry Curve 8520 Won't boot up!

Please Login to Remove!

So, I received my phone brand new in box Thursday night. Had no problems with it. Friday around 1:30 PM T-mobile called me to take a survey. I decided to just take it because they were calling me every 20 minutes. I had my phone plugged in via laptop, but unplugged it for the call. I tried pressing the menu key to light up the screen.. it did long enough to see the battery was almost completely dead (red battery) then my phone froze and shut off. Since that time yesterday, it won't go any further than the white screen with the clock. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. I've removed SIM and SD card. T-Mobile wants to send me a new battery.. and the place where I ordered my phone from (letstalk.com) wants me to send it back to exchange it for a new phone. My only problem is waiting another week and a half to get my phone back.. Anybody experience this problem and fixed it?

Sorry to ask what may seem an obvious question but did you make a backup prior to receiving the call?

Try putting the battery in, and charging it.
It likely doesnt have enough charge to boot up the phone.
