I just wondered since OS 6 is out now, if anyone that was using barry suite (kitchen sync) has been able to sync with it? I'm using Mepis 8, which has KOrganizer and it syncs great with my Bold, (OS 5.0.0.699). I just wondered if anyone had tried yet and how it worked out with OS 6?

Is kitchen sync in the Mepos repos?

I'm using Mepis 8.5 on desktop and 8.0 on laptop.

Yep, it's in there. I use synaptic. I've held off on M8.5, I'm thinking KOrganizer didn't work in 8.5, but it did in 8. I used Canteras for a while, and my BoldBerry and Barry suite and Kitchen sync worked fine in it. But it was a M8 remaster with kde4. So I could get it to sync with Canteras and M8, but that is with the OS 5.0.0.699, didn't know how OS 6 would work.

Found it and installed but it said it was for KDE 3.5, so I uninstalled on my Mepis 8.5 system. It as you know is KDE 4.....

May try to install on my M8.0 system later.

BTW, think I had to install Kontact as I believe it wasn't part of the 8.5 iso.

I think you are right, it's not. You will need some other stuff. At one time I had the directions on MepisLovers that told what you needed & how to set it up. Not sure if it's still there since they re-did the web site though. Sure does work a treat ;)

Found it on mepislovers. I see some packages are not in the standard 8.0 repos. Going to do a thorough read on the link in your thread.
