Question How can I stop emails from someone else's hotmail account from going to my phone?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a phone supplied by my company and while it was wiped before I got it by the AT&T store, I still regularly get text messages from the hotmail accont of the employee who last had it.

I've gone to Personal Email Setup, but it won't let me enter my PIN and EIMI because it says an account has already been created.

But then I don't know how to figure out what my (or his rather) username would be so I can do the "forgot password" deal and have the password sent to my device, etc.

Is there a way to simply kill the email connection entirely? I figured there would be a setting somewhere to modify that would at least let me turn off the push email feature if not specifically remove the hotmail link..

Thanks

Contact the supplying company, have them contact AT&T and resolve the issue. The PIN is already in use. So not much you can do to stop it.

You will need to get this cleared up to use your own email anyway.

Ah ok, it's a small company so that would be the owner.. I just wanted to get confirmation that there was absolutely no way for me to take care of this without asking him to contact AT&T.

So there's no way I can handle this from the device?

Nope. It won't let you do anything until it's released from the previous account so you're stuck until then.

text messages can be stopped by replying to them with stop in the subject line
I have used that before but was a few months back so I am not 100% on the word in the subject line
it is either STOP or STOPALL
Hope this helps

Yes that can stop texts in some cases. This issue also has to do with the PIN already being registered.
