Default Is it possible to have a BES and a BPS running off the same Exchange Server?

Please Login to Remove!

I currently have a BES setup on a server thats working with the Exchange 2007 Server. For some weird reason, I cannot activate any new users on this even though I have extra licences.

I was wondering if its ok to setup a BPS server on the Exchange Server itself and work from there. Is it possible to share an Exchange Server between a BES and a BPS?

If you can't activate users there is something wrong with the device plans or with the BES. Installing BPS wouldn't necessarily solve your problem, and would just be something else to manage. Have you tried activating more than one device? Have you tried calling tech support from the carrier or RIM?

Problem isnt with the device or Carrier as I setup a new Exchange Server with BPS and the device activated just fine on that. So its definitely an issue with the BES server. I've googled a lot, reinstalled BES but no go. The users already activated work just fine but I cant activate anyone new

Well I would give RIM a ring then. Something is definately wrong in the setup.

Ok- did a bit more testing and it seems that I can add new users now but if I had deleted a user off BES, they get stuck with the above mentioned problem. I will now try to export their mailbox, delete it, then recreate it and then add it to BES. Hopefully that should work!
