This has not been a good week for me email-wise. It looks as if I have most of the issues worked out at this point. My only problem now seems to be the fact that when I get an email I have a red asterisk in the Messages icon, but not one in the Email icon as has been the case previously. Also, under the Email icon it shows my email address, but thereis a (1) in front of it. Any ideas?

TY

sounds like you've got your email and SMS messages set to combine. if you go into options there's a setting that will allow you to separate them and you should be back to normal. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly where this setting is. I'm sure someone else who reads this will know specifically and let us know. Hope this at least helps a little.

Open E-mail..click on options button...scroll to Options - click.

General options...scroll to SMS and Email options - click.

You have 3 choices Theme Controlled, Combine and Seperate.

Choose Separate. Save and exit.

Good to go...

Thank you! I checked the settings and I was good to go as already set. I'm still only getting the red asterisk in the E-mail icon? I'm also suspicious of the (1) in front of my email addy, directly under the E-mail icon. Help?

Do you have any unread messages in your email folder? The number in parentheses indicates an unread message.

I've pretty sure I've had that same thing happen. Check your "saved messages" folder and see if the unread message isn't sitting in there. If you don't see the icon it could be hidden. Just click your options button (button to the left of the trackball) while on your main page and select "show all". After you're finished just unselect "show all" and your screen will be the way it was initially.
