Comes w/a leather (or synthetic leather) pouch from Verizon, no belt-clip or anything, so it's meant for pocketing/pursing. Don't know if that is standard across carriers...
Yes the 8130 does come with a case. It doesn't have any type of clip on it, but it works well if your carrying it in your pocket or bag. It's nice because it will automatically put the 8130 into "sleep" mode when you put it in the case and awake upon removing it. Not sure if this is a common feature with BB.
Hey, don't dump the case it came with without trying it first. I used to carry my phone on my hip as well. The 8130 is small enough that it conveniently fits in your pocket. I now carry my phone in my pocket using the standard case. It doesn't get hung up on seat belts that way and can't get knocked off your belt.
Puzzleman, I will try it for a few days -- However -- I went to my boss, and used my "But.....Mom" voice, and she bought in. I ordered the seidio holster on the company's nickel.
Fat lot of good that does when your used to it on your hip.

just pocket it for now and after you survive your first Vday as a married couple THEN go "honey, i would really like this" or even ask for it as a Vday present
Best Buy sells the leather cases with clip for about $25 or you can get them online for cheaper
