Question Plazmic is impossible!

Please Login to Remove!

I've made some themes in the past and everything went without a hitch. Now, all of a sudden, it doesn't want to open my .thm files. I have the complete theme, and am now just doing the requests on altering it, but whenever I try to open the file, Plazmic freezes while loading or something.

It used be that it would take about 10 seconds to load the file at first, but once I was done with it, it took an hour. Now, it's been trying to open the file for the last 3 hours.

I've tried reinstalling, but that doesn't help.

Anyone experience anything similar?? Any fixes?

This is, this has happened on two computers. When it happened on the first one, I thought it was because of the system as it wasn't that new. So I installed theme builder on my other newer computer and then about 3 days ago, it's taking forever. Ugh...

Nope. I was able to open a new file easily, but as soon as I'm importing it goes back to being locked up.

Sounds like the .thm file is corrupted then; not really much you can do about that.

It's not corrupted, it just takes hours to load. For example, before I went to bed, I opened the .thm file, went to bed, then when I woke up (8-9 hours later), it was loaded.

How many fonts do you have loaded on your PC. Having "too" many fonts loaded on your PC will make themebuilder lag...lag like a Yugo (for those of you too young to remember...Yugo was a very small..slow car)...

Hey Steve, I responded on the PMB topic, so I guess I 'll post here too. I only have about 530 fonts. How many fonts did you have to delete for themebuilder to work?

EDIT: Just thought of this. What are your computer's specs? If your computer is like a dual core, high RAM one, then that's probably the cause of the font number difference. For you, 1500 lags theme builder, for me (and my slower computer) 530 fonts probably slow it down.

My computer is a P4 2.4 GHz, 1.5GB of RAM. 120GB HDD.

If you can eventually open the file; have you tried doing a "save-as" and making another file?

Heh, yeah that's probably the cause of the 1500:500 font ratio.
