SMS on Blackberry 7100 t - Backup, Synch, Delete to Windows Desktop Application?

I have around 100+ / more like 200-300 maybe more SMSes on my BB. Now, a whole bunch of these are messages that I want to save.. some are nice flirts, some are insights from family & friends, nice quotes, jokes etc and I want to be able to READ them off the BB.

I might keep 50 or so active and rest I want to archive for reading, memory and nostalgia purposes.

Now I used to do this with my Samsung s105 when its SMS memory would get full. I have this nice little database from the s105 of old messages I can read.

Now, I have not yet used the BB for e-mail because, I want to not get bothered w email all the time.

I was pointed to a backup application inside desktop manager that backs up the SMSes (i think 700 or so into an .IP? file). The thing is I cant read this file offline or work on a desktop app that allows me to selectively backup messages and keep the remaining on the BB until I back them up to the PC for future on the PC reading.

So, is this possible using BB Desktop S/W or some other s/w ?

Kindly advise.

PS: Please dont have me go and forward every message from my BB SMS to an email. Its 700 or so SMSes from the last 6 months.

Also in the message re-conciliation the SMSes dont get backed up.. Atleast I havent seen it. If someone has seen SMSes get backed up into Outlook or desktop app.. that would be amazing.
