Has anyone else experienced the follwoing:

Some of the avitar's are "greyed out" due to not talking to those contacts in several days, and when they are "greyed out" you can not move the contact into a custom group...this is the first I am noticing it....

it's FRUSTRATING when you lose some contacts for no apparent reason!

My BBM5 has been working great for about a month or so now. I do have one thing thats sort of annoying: the message histories will only stay on the phone for a couple weeks then they will slowly delete. Is this supposed to be happening?

I'll jump in here, I posted this over on a different forum... ummm... the location feature is definitely a bug in this version... note to anyone else trying this version, if you try it, DO NOT use the location feature!~ It took me 1/2 a day to get my phone back up and running. I basically had to wipe it back to new, re-install the OS, everything. An absolute royal PITA, that much I do know. Otherwise, for the 10hrs it was on my phone it was very cool! I'll wait for the official release at this point... Does anyone know when it'll be officially released?

Hey guys. Sorry for asking this... So I updated to .190(8900) earlier today and for some reason (or maybe I just was in a hurry to click next) it uninstalled BBM. Now I lost all my contacts! But before I went through the whole upgrade process, I'm sure I made 2 full BUs just to be sure... is there any way I could extract the BBM contacts list there? Or there's no way I could ever take 'em back?

EDIT: I was running BBM 5.0.8 on .250 before .190...

Default Bad COD files with OTA Install

I have tried to install BBM 5 on my 8900 (4.6.1.250) using OTA and i get an error message saying corrupt COD file.

I tried downloading the BBM 5 files for desktop install and it say the application is not compatible with my device.

I made sure to download the 8900 version for 4.6.1

The OS software on my BB is not Beta software.

Any suggestions??

Mike

I had the same issues, and have found many threads with the same problems.

Some people have had luck using javaloader to install the cod files, but this method did not work for me either. Maybe you'll have better luck with it.

Well the download listed for me from AppWorld at 2.8MB, so that would be why.

If I remember correctly, I could be wrong, I think 4.6/4.7 was only around 400-500kb. I'll double-check.

Okay so I was wrong. 4.6 is 327.3Kb. So there is a big difference. A lot more features in 5.0, that's for sure.
