Hey guys, I tried to update my 9800 and now it has lost all the pics on my mem card... A message saying i need to format my memory card keeps coming up everytime i restart the device... I didnt even update the software yet, the phone for some reason doesnt want to connect to my PC.... Any tips?

I didnt try that... I dont have a reader for the MicroSD cards on my laptop

I did plug it up and pull up the memory card thru my computer on the laptop but still wasnt anything there... What happens if i format the card? I know that it erases everything but i searched and saw that some guy did that and he got his pics back... Anyone know anything about that?

If you format, you will not get anything back. Please try to find an external reader.

I bought an external reader and plugged it up and it told me that i need to format the card still... I also went and accessed the card thru "My Computer" and it still told me that i need to format the card... Any idea's from here?

If it is worth the effort (and possibly expense) to you to possibly recover any data, look into data recovery software. I don't have any recommedations. I would start with places like download.com and first try any free software I could find. While you are looking, get a sense of what is available, what is highly rated, and what it costs. If you don't find free software, or it doesn't work, then consider purchasing software and taking a chance. Also see what others say here. Maybe some will give recommendations.

If, on the other hand, you can easily say lesson learned and move on, then format the card and see what happens after that. Or, getting another card may be what you want to do. If you really want to be able to trust the card, get a new one. And buy name brand from a reputable source.
