Default How do I prevent application auto-start?

Please Login to Remove!

Some applications will start at boot time. Is there any way to prevent it from happening?

Also, some application does not exit. There is a close in the menu but it keeps running in background.

One example is MobiPocket reader. Don't understand why it needs to run at startup.

How do I force it to quit?

Thanks!

What applications? Some are running as a part of the OS - BlackBerry Messenger, Browser, Phone, Messages and Home Screen.... is it another app?

If your on a BES the IT policy set by your company may not allow it to run.
If so you do not have any options except to have them allow it to run.

Could I get an answer to the original question? I understand BES IT policy and I just don't want that application to start automatically. If you really want to know, yes it runs, except the internet connection attempt generates error.

If the application developer has designed the application to run on start up, you cannot change it.

Uninstalling the application is your option.
