Default Got one!

Just been passed a inconspicuous looking box on my desk and its an 8100!

First impressions are ok, light weight and i like the fact it gives you the letter of the password before turning it into a *. Hopefully this will be available on all devices when S/W 4.2.042 comes on. Not too sure about the roller ball, it seems a bit too sensitive for my liking but may change once I've had it a while.

Never used a sure type device before so might have to see how that goes.

All Non-QWERT BlackBerries (71xx series and now the 81xx) do that to allow you to tap a second time to use the second letter assigned to that key.

I'm guessing it's an o2 device if you're based in Leeds?

Say friend, do you find the size a bit too small for comfortable data entry, or is that not really an issue?
Regards,

If it is O2 or Tmob UK, it would be good to know when the UK operators are going to release this, and whether it will be broadly at the same time as the US...

Regards,
The majority of our users use it for data entry via online forms so it's not very user friendly. However our bigwigs could find it useful as the phone side is much better than the 7290's they have at the moment, and they can still read emails and occasionaly send them with a bot of practice.

Are you testing it for a corporation or review, if not for a network?

Any indication of when it might be out? Willing to part with it to a technologically deprived Londoner, by any chance?

As I've had several bids already let me say IT WAS A JOKE!!!!!!

It would be more than my jobs worth to sell it, that and I doubt RIM would be too happy if one turned up pre release
