Default 8830 world edition. 507 error. Urgent.

Please Login to Remove!

I need my phone to work asap. I was reloading the OS and during the process my battery fell out and now I'm getting the 507 error. I know this error means my phone doesn't have any OS. So far iv tried pulling the battery, reloading the software about 30 times, and deleting the software rebooting my computer and doing the whole process over again.

can someone please give me some clear instructions of what to do in my specific case?

Edit: Also the error i had before 507 was JVM error "flash write failed" or something. My cxarrier is bell

How does the battery just fall out?

Delete Desktop Manager and reinstall.

Here is the link to the latest 8830 OS and the instructions. Follow them EXACTLY. Be patient as it can take an hour or longer.

Sometime it can take several tries.

You may need to wipe it using Jl_Cmdr first if everything else fails. See the FAQ.

Or you can try bbsak rather than DM. Do a search for that, install on your PC and give it a go.

Geez. Did you look at the FAQ?

If your battery fell out in the process and you do not have a backup or sync with Outlook, then the data is most likely gone anyway.

Moved to the Legacy device section.

Since you are getting a 507 error, you probably have a backup on your pc. Look for a file with an ".ipd" extension and today's date on you PC. That should be the data backup so you can restore that once you reload the OS. You will have to reload all 3rd party apps however as those didn't get backed up.

There must be 50 places on the web to dowload jl_cmder
What problems are you having. Try downloading bbsak - Blackberry Swiss Army Knife..

If you've reloaded (or tried to reload) your OS then your data is already gone. If you backed up prior to the attempted OS reload then you can restore from that. If not, it's gone.
