Default Nav4all routes Vs. Google routes

Please Login to Remove!

I love Nav4all but the routes it makes me take are crazy. I've tried it on routes I know and if I'm on a highway it will make me go completely local or guide me towards another highway. google maps doesn't do this, it shows me a route which makes more sense.

Why do these programs differ in this? I've tried changing the driver style option but it still doesn't show me a better route.

Why don't you try the free version of MapQuest. I think you'll find it superior, and provides voice turn-by-turn. Links to free versions of it in this forum...search on Mapquest.

I tried Nav4All coming home from work the other day. The routing was more than just ODD. It similarly tried getting me on and off I-5 a number of times over a 15 mile segment. I think that it tried "straightening" out all of the modest freeway curves by getting off, taking local "straight" roads and back on.

I think it will be soon erased.

I find the UI for Nav4ALL kind of complicated to be using on the road. Also, I think one of the buttons was backwards. I can't remember which is was but I do recall closing the map a lot.

One limitation I find with MapQuest but it could be me, does anyone know how to just nose around a map? Like pull up an area and just move the map around looking at the area.
