Default Curve with existing DConnex BT GPS - is there an adapter

Please Login to Remove!

I recently switched from PocketPC to Blackberry. The past couple PocketPCs either had a GPS kit or had GPS built in. TMobile told me the 8320 had GPS though I wonder if they were confusing that with the 8310. Either way, I found out later they were incorrect but I'm sticking with the Curve. However, I would like to adapt my past GPS setup with the Curve.

This is the DConnex BT receiver. It comes with a Y-cable that fits the included car adapter. It then splices off a connector just like the one show in the photo. I believe this is 5V. I don't even know where to begin but I'm trying to find a source for an adapter from the yellow tipped connector to the USB connector that would fit a Blackberry.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Are you trying to charge the BB at the same time off the same car charger? I'm not quite sure I understand your question.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. I take longer drives and the batteries for both would be close to empty at the end of the drive.

I found something at Semsons. I thin it was a 4mm DC to mini USB converter, but the way they described it seemed like it was mini USB to 4mm DC (the reverse of my goal)... would that cause a problem?

You could get a Y-Cable that you could plug the Car Charger for the BB in one side and the Car charger for the GPs in the other. That would give you two power sources to charge both.
