Hi

If like me you find the alerts a little tame how do you deal with them? I mean in the calendar diary of course. You may have an appointment drs/social/business and set the reminder for an hour/half hour/2days whatever but frequently ive missed them as it is just a message.

What if the phone is on the side? Neither is their a buzz nor a sound meaning you can easily miss it as i do..?
What if the phone is on standby mode with keylock on and the screen blackens, so again you miss the reminder - as is often the case with the new firmware update i did (preserves battery by turning screen off but you have to unlock keypad to see internal message).
Even if you let the screen stay on (conserving huuuge battery power), you'd still miss the appointment unless the phone was visibly in your eyesight with the reminder coming up.

Indeed most reminders have been remembered by good old brain power (and the technology/blackberry is secondary) simply because if you put things in the diary weeks ahead , their is a very good chance you may forget.

So I just think this highly usefull function which i use regular to plan things in my life would benefit from a simple "ping" or alarm bell or ringtone when the diary reminder comes up, so if your in the other room or its in your pocket you dont miss it.

How do you guys do it?

i know that if u go to the profiles icon and go to edit profiles and select which profile u use vibrate, loud, normal, medium, and so on there at the bottom on reminders when u click it says reminder, calender, follow up flags i believe if u set the calender alerts on with a tone it should work how u want
