I just posted a new message under Live Search. I had more success with Telenav than BB Map and Live Search using Freedom Mini GPS.

So the only solution mentioned so far is to load the older OS 4.2 to resolve the BT issue?

Looks like I will just use google maps 2.0 with its built-in GPS until BB fixes the problem.

I have been using both Amazegps and Nav4all and both programs drop the BT signal within 30 minutes of use.

If your 8320 device drops the connection to the BT puck there isn't much you can do to fix it. It's a known issue with the BT software on the BB.

Also, it's a known issue that Bluetooth and Wifi sometimes conflict. it's a frequency issue.

I just got my Freedom key chain GPS last week and I am iexperiencing the intermittent problem. I am trying your suggestions, wifi = off, encryption = off and trusted = yes. I have a BT headset and it never disconnects except if the gps puck is connected. It immediately reconnects but the gps puck thinks it is still connected but never syncs back up. I have to stop the gps nav and start it again. I am running v4.2.2.180 (Plaform 2.5.0.36). Any other suggestions or information I would very much appreciate. GPS on this thing is great, when it stays connected.

Late addition to this thread, but I have an 8320 and HAD a freedom mini puck. Could not keep a connection so I got rid of it. Tried returning it to Wireless Accessories but their draconian return policies would not allow me to do so.

DON'T BUY FROM WIRELESS ACCESSORIES!!

Thanks. Feel much better now.

The issue with the Freedom mini puck isn't the puck. It's the RIM OS. This is posted about all over the board. Many say it has to do with the bluetooth LED and disabling it. If the LED is disabled you get more disconnects. I find that a little far fetched but since I re-enabled the LED I get very few disconnects. YMMV.

Default 8320 with holux m1000 gps problem

I have 8320 with Holux M100 puck. Bluetooth connection drops out intermitantly from google maps, and blackberry maps. reconnects usually within a minute or so with googls, but not with bbry maps. Soundsl like this is the same prblm others are having. Is there a solution ?
