Don't know about the label on the BT but LBS shows up with internal devices but you will also find it in your applications list after BBMaps is installed. There are no settings though.

Hmm, I don't see it anywhere - the only app to show up was bb maps.

I'll try installing it again with the gps connected and see if it gets added.

There's no icon for it. Its just listed under Options>Advanced>Applications.

I see where my confusion comes from now. "LBS" is what bb calls "Maps" on the bb itself. It's the program name internally.

I was thinking of it as a service that ran with Maps, where you could find hotels/gas/food/etc near your actual location (location based services). Kind of what google maps will do for you but with GPS enabled. My bad.

Oh well, maybe they bigger plans for it over time. It still tells me where I am on a map, and for the price of a GPS puck (which I need for other uses), that's worth it.
