Im on here researching for a friend. We are unable to get opera to install on his Tmobile 8700. Keep getting HTTP error 406 any ideas?

Forget trying to get Opera to operate. I found BB's browser config that allows viewing of style sheets. That setup makes myspace and many other sites work better.

I'm not really concerned with specfic shortcuts set up to mimic the Blackberry browser. What makes Opera Mini awkward to use is ignoring Blackberry conventions like how the escape key, track wheel, and menus work. I guess I could just get used to it but I really don't see enough of an advantage in using Opera to even bother for my needs.

IMHO, opera looks better, amd loads quicker. The controls are a bit hard to get used to

You need to go into options>advanced options>TCP> and the type wap.voicestream.com in the APN field. Leave the other fields blank, hit the trackwheel, and then click save. Worked great for me.

Now for Opera - you guys need to set it up so that when you hit enter it pulls up the webpage, does not allow you to enter another line. That is completely useless and obnoxious to be able to enter another line there, and to have to use the track wheel. Fix that, and I will use it exclusively as that is my only gripe!

I dumped it. Needs to adopt standard convention for me.
