Default Bold re-assembly

Finally fitted my Black bezel, buttons and trackball yesterday (pics to follow in relevant thread) however when screwing one the screws back in, the Torx head has been rounded off and now i can't take it back out so 2 questions: -

1) Where can you get these screws from? As i'd assume these are specialist screws
2) How can you take out the screw with the rounded off head?

Cheers

What size Torx driver did you use?? Using a T-5 with just the right amount of torque shouldn't have stripped the screw. Did you use a T-4 or T-3??

I asked Steve at Horizon Wireless, and he said he'll be selling them soon. Other than that, I don't know where to get them.

Definately used the T-5 as per recommended by CNN website...

It was the one with the sticker on it however after removing all traces of the sticker and glue residue it is properly rounded off...

Take it you don't know how to take out screws with rounded out heads? lol

I usually would drill it out, but since it's so small, I don't know what I would do.

Techni-Tool makes a product called Screwgrab that is a fluid impregnated with diamond dust. If the head isn't severely deformed, a drop of this with the T5 may do the trick.

If it's really rounded, maybe using a tiny drop of metal epoxy between the head and the driver to bond them together would let you get the screw out.
