Heard from a reliable source that the 9900 is available from T-Mobile US as a preorder today.

I heard the same thing.....

The Blackberry 9900 Bold was originally scheduled to launch on 8/31/11 but T-Mobile has made this device available for our business customers starting 8/17/11! Starting Wednesday, you can obtain the 9900 directly from T-Mobile.

Also heard this:

*Wi-Fi Calling and Mobile Hotspot will not be available at launch. These features will be available via an OTA software update post launch.

** The 9900 will launch with a retail cost of $299.99, however T-Mobile business customers can obtain the 9900 at the following special pre-sale rates:

1-4 devices $199.99 each
5 or more $99.99 each

That $300 price is AFTER the mail-in rebate. Folks had darn well better pre-order!!
