Default Lost speakerphone?

Please Login to Remove!

I seem to have lost the ability to put phone on speakerphone. When I hit alt + speaker key during a call, nothing happens but the sound is still heard when holding phone up to ear. I tested the speaker system with music (and no headphones ) and that works just fine. I also have no problems using the $ while typing, so the actual key seems to be working. Of course, I can also use the alt key in other sequences, so that isn't the problem.

I can't honestly recall when I started having the problem. I just purchased the phone about 1-2 months ago and immediately updated to the latest build. Now I'm on this beta but can't say that the problem didn't exist before this build.

Advice?

Don't use the alt key. Just push the speakerphone button during the call.

That worked! For some reason, it always worked with the Bold 9000. Oh well, now I know better. Thanks!

I see .593 is now official. Is there a difference between the leaked version and official? Or is it safe to assume that the leaked is exactly the same and therefore no reloading is required?

The only different *may* be languages.

However once I turned encryption back on and did a battery pull the unread count went crazy again.

It seems as though there are some long running bugs in OS 5 with SMS's if you have encryption turned on.
I'm seeing the same issue in the full release of 593 too.

Yeah, because they're the SAME version. "Leaked" vs "Released" makes no difference. If the version number is the same, its the same...except for different languages that different carriers release with.

Wirelessly posted (Mandizzles Bold)

I have a message indicator saying I have 4 new messages when I don't.

I've tried:

-repeated battery pulls

-switching themes

-marking prior messages unread
-turning encryption off

Any suggestions guys?

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked other folders and saved messages?

I've checked every folder. I've done just about everything short of deleting all my messages.

do you have multiple email accounts associated with your 9700? if so, check them. If you are using VVM, check for unread voice mail. Check for attachments that have been downloaded. Check for messages with images that have been updated since you opened that message

If all else fails, back up your messages, change the retention to 1 day.

If the unread number still appears, I would restore

Thanks for the advice Calvin.... I've pretty much tried everything you mentioned.

Just going to go backup messages / delete / restore.

Hope it solves the issue.

I can assure you it most certainly does have that it feature.

Did you complete the Enterprise Activation after the upgrade?

Thank you NJBlackberry,
Yes I did activate sucessful,
maybe, I am blind ? I remember, you can invite an attendee from the contect menu, but there is no option like this.
I can remove an attendee, in the availiability menu, but also there is nothing like invite.

I have however installed HRS hotel search, Capture it, TeleNav. And, they all inserted themselve in the context menu. Maybe, there is a maximum lenght of the menu ?

SOLVED: for whatever strange reason, but, The wireless Calendar was set to OFF
