So far generally good. My observations so far:

- Favoring GSM to 3G but no dropped calls.
- Media Player volume bug when a headphone is connected.
- Alarm shifted a bit to the right from bottom left in Clock.

That or that the BOLD has been working just fine for all of us.

All of my wallpapers are on my card...but, I don't have that issue. I did with .217...and .219. I've actually done two reboots experimentally...and it stays on the wallpaper I had running. I don't know why...

Observations so far...

-Browser seems a tad faster loading pages...although it was slower initially.
-Thumbnails show come up almost instantly...although snail slow initially.
-Memory has settled to around 42mb initial after-battery-pull 57mb.
-Media bug still in place, but no biggie to me since media player seldom used.
-Battery life seems the same as .216...at 60% 9-hours after full-charge.
-I have yet to suffer a "random reboot" as some have...maybe I'm lucky.

Overall, no big changes/improvements over .216...but no real issues either.

I'm on .214 and no problems. Guess I'll stay on it until something really good changes.

My take on .228 was good.... until about 10 minutes ago when I realized my signal status was "3g" and not "3G". I pulled the battery, nothing. ALT+CAP+DEL for kicks, nothing as well. I'm forced to manually choose EDGE, which is working. This makes me sad =( Ah well, this will actually be the first time I'll be downgrading tonight.

Wirelessly posted (Bold 9000 (AT&T))

Well, what I said before about the 3G signal seems to have remedied itself. My device is running better than ever, with both battery life, and memory usage.

Update on my issue...Just speaking with my friend who works at Rogers; his Bold is doing the same thing and he hadn't updated to .228. He called in and they said they're doing a BB Server update and it should be back up within in hour. So it was just a coincidence for me. **wipes sweat from forehead**

Now see this is exactly why I love this place ........... I was having a sh*t fit until I checked in here.

They really need to warn us of this kinda of thing!! Don't they know we're addicts and NEED our fix 24/7? ............... how dare they cut us off! lol

I agree! They have all our pins, don't they? :P Mass notification that service will be going down. Both my friend and I had to manually choose 2G to get data working on Edge. A simple notification and instructions to do that would be greatly appreciated by many, I would assume.

I've noticed many members mentioning "no live search" with upgrades, just as aregold did previously...I too miss the use of "live search" but have found a new app that works pretty darn good in place of......POYNT...very good and it's free..give it a try until live search returns...

FYI: Rogers has a 3G outage from Quebec east this afternoon. That could be your reason.
