Just checked the setting and it's disabled for me and I can still browse the net.

loader.exe, located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

It's what Desktop Manager runs to load device software and applications.

Installed .219 few hours ago. Running perfectly on my Bold.

So far nothing new and haven't noticed any bug.

Live search is working alright.

Its not a bug !! its a mandatory ear protection, so you don't go suing Rim that you lost an eardrum from a load song startup.

Well, if it did install an app center, I can't find it no worries there.

It does seem to fix a weird bug I had with media player, where it would skip certain songs, even if I selected them by name. I know there was a thread about it somewhere. So that's a plus. I haven't found anything else positive or negative to say so far.

That is not an issue that will be fixed in an OS upgrade.

Is searching of mail working in this version? I've had trouble with the last few betas (on .217 now). After a battery pull I can search mail... but the feature doesn't work after some time. I go into search, put in my criteria, press search and it just pops me in my mail inbox (no search results). Also, I can't browse to other mail folders without the mail app crashing (some java exception).

Now try it with a headset plugged in. It's not fixed cause I don't believe it's a bug. It's designed that way so that if you have a song playing at a high volume and it switches to the next song which has been recorded at a higher level that you don't hurt your ears. It automatically defaults back to a medium volume level at the start of each song. That's why this feature is only there with a headset plugged in.
