Are you connecting to a USB hub? I've seen this issue connecting to USB hubs. Have you tried a different USB port? Also, have you tried to reboot the PC?

Try to uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power under properties of USB Root Hub > Power Management

USB Root hub is normal..

Does your computer have any problem seeing normal USB Thumbdrives?

May want to try download the USB/Model Drivers and installing those.. What version of the desktop manager are you running?

This is either a hardware issue, or a normal driver issue.. If you took that screen shot while the BB was plugged into the computer.. Possibly hardware related since the computer doesnt even appear to see or make any attempt to load the BB device/driver.

Have you tried plugging your BB into another computer?

Plug the BB in and take another screen shot of the device manager.

When you said no, did you say no to my question "Does your computer have any problem seeing normal USB Thumbdrives?" So you computer see USB thumbdrives just fine right?

Your computer seems to reconize the BB just fine.

I would sync your BlackBerry.. Back it up and wipe it, then try to upgrade to 4.5 after the upgrade resync/restore your old data.

Even with JL_CMDer.. hmm are you able to try and use another computer?

The USB connection isn't loose is it? (Doesn't wiggle too much right?)

Wow..

So we ruled out the computer... Completely wiped the BB with JL_CMDer..

What version of 4.5 is this exactly, maybe we should try another one.

Hmm. Your device doesn't happen to be under warranty still does it?

Are you able to try this in a second computer?
