Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
Beyond the Apps on as a standard pre-load Blackberry site shows 19 apps. I did not bother to count the games and movies.
Very sad to see Blackberry failing to support the new OS 10 products with previous apps. As Rambo47 said, they should have a duel focus. they seem to be lost and looking for a miracle.
Their stock has dropped from $82 to $8.70 after the market plunge. Time to fire the CEO and a few others. Get some people who have a clue.

Where are you getting 19 apps? If you are looking in BlackBerry World on the web, there is no way to search out just BB10 apps. There were 120k on launch and last I heard 140k with new ones being released every day. I don't know now many games vs. apps. Yes there are some older apps that are not available for BB10, but that's because of developers, not BlackBerry.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
I bought a device from BlackBerry, not from developers. BlackBerry should bring pressure (or money) to the developers. As it stands now, it is a second rate app store. I check the new and popular apps. All games. Still no Skydrive. Still no Lync. Business apps.

Appworld allows the search to be set for a specific model blackberry. I set the search to Z10 only and unless it's faulty it showed only 19 Apps that were for the Z10. I did not count the games and movies or social apps.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
That's not correct by any means - not an accurate way to search. I can't believe you actually thought that was accurate.
Your profile says you have a Z10 - I suggest you look up apps in BlackBerry World on your device and tell me what you see. The apps and games are listed separately. The on device search for a Z10 won't show apps that don't work on BB10.
I searched calories today and there are 155 apps listed; searching diet brings up 919 apps. When I search maps, there are 6,599 results. There are over 800 clock apps, and so on, and so on....

No doubt there are a lot of missing apps, but all the new releases are not games, that's not correct.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
Ok so I found a small issue with the search using the BB model. When loading apps using the device specific search, it offers only 19 apps but changing the country allows a button to pop up allowing "more" to show. I wonder how many users miss that option? It may answer why the general impression is OS10 apps are limited. I have to thank daphne for leading me to try different buttons on the Appworld site.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
this isn't desperate... i miss the ability to send a message, then Edit the message to send same message to someone else. real time saver if i want to write several people, independently, about something. i also miss the ability to mass/select and delete a stack of email messages without having to (1) block delete everything going back from a date divider, or (2) manually highlight, one by one, each and every message i choose to delete. and the one that's really killing me is the lost setting to "Delete on" handheld only. that loss alone is tempting me to go back to a 9900 for as long as i can

- Skype is available on BB 10.
- MapMyIndia full detailed maps available for India
- RememberTheMilk now available
- Blackberry Enterprise IM supports MS Lync and IBM Sometime, amongst others
- Connect to DropBox is awesome
I just wish there was Evernote available as well. But I have heard its in the works.

Google Drive, Google Maps, but I doubt Google is going to do much to support BB.
Also "GPSLogger II", a great trail logging/wayfinding GPS app.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
The more sideloading people do the less they need a Blackberry. If the andriod works for Apps they need why bother with a Blackberry. Wake up blackberry. I sideloaded an App my corporate BB used before the Z10. the offer was to do a sideload or switch to an android device. Side load was difficult but worked. Most wont bother.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
Side loading was always a dual edged sword. It fulfills the need for immediate apps but does nothing to promote app growth. I am down to 8 Android apps. App World still has a way to go.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
Jefit Pro.
I was able to convert Jefit Free version to my Z10 using a converter for apk to bar extensions. In attempting to load Jefit Pro (purchase) it required loading the apk file directly from google play or amazon store to my BB and it failed. I can convert the Jefit Pro version if I could get the apk file to download onto my laptopn. Jefit's support group could not help either.
Any advise?

Search the sites that have pirated apk files.

Re: What Apps Are You Desperately Missing on The Z10?
Thank you dc/dc, but I tried that and there is an exe. file out there for Jefit Pro. Once you open it you have to accept numerous items to get the apk app.
I tried this, and 30 minutes later after providing a bunch of survey info, it asked to open and rate games. I tried that and it could not find the app on my BB because the games are not supported on a BB.
Is there a work around to these type offers?
Can I try to load it on my IPAD and then get the apk file somehow?
