Hi, is there a way to change the default name of pics when you take a picture with a BB? All pics have the name IMG00001 etc and sometimes it causes pics stored on computer to be overwritten since every time i get a new bb or upgrade the OS the counter goes to 0001. Or if someone emails me a pic from their BB its name overwrites my existing pic.
Pocket PC had the option of changing the pic name to date and time and that gave each pic a unique name.
Can that be done on BB? Either thru options or thru a tweaked file that I can install in its OS?

I'm pretty sure there is a rename button/option after taking the pic.

Yes there is....it's all the way on the bottom right corner of all the optiosn when you take a pic. Looks like a file folder. If you leave it highlighted it says rename.

Hope that helps, that's the only way I know of changing how the BB will label them.

A quicker way to rename images is to use one of the many imaging software packages that will enable you to retag multiple current images before you do an update etc of your BB. Its not a BB solution but barring renaming each image as you take them I am not aware of another method.
