Lightbulb Someone should make this for the Curve!

I work in what is at times a secure environment. It would be really nice if someone makes a battery door without the flash and camera holes making it impossible to use that feature without taking the battery cover off.

Obviously this doesn't disable the camera, but it makes it a lot harder, and more obvious, if you are using it.

Seems simple. I am tempted to just buy some mold making at home stuff and creating one myself - but if one of the vendors is reading the boards or someone knows that this has been created, please let me know!

Anything anyone else want to see?

Some themes would be nice too, say, Today Plus for example.

No thanks! I want/like the camera, but when I go into secured areas I can't bring the device. I also love the small size and layout. The 8800 is a brick (comparatively).

I just need to physically disable the camera some of the time.

That's actually a great idea. Hopefully someone makes it.

A truly secure location is not going to allow an 8300 in - period.

If your secure room says, "oh, well it is covered up" - then they have some security issues. End of story. You can easily remove the cover without being seen.

Guard: You can't bring a camera in here
Visitor: Oh, I put duct tape on it - it is ok.
Guard: But you can take the duct tape off.
Visitor: Yeah but that is hard! I would never do that.
Guard: Oh, ok then.
Visitor: Good, cause I have a gun with some duct tape on the trigger, too. It would be very difficult to take the tape off.
Guard: Sure, bring it in, too.

We did consider this for the 8100 and actually had some samples built, but ultimately dropped the project because we were uncertain of the legal ramifications.

Thanks,

that would be a great idea... i cant have phones or cam phones or any 2 way device period in certain areas but in the general building we are allow regular phones ... if this ever became available i would be very interested... amazing how going from one company to the next the policies are different yet its the same technology... example at Lockheed cam phones are allowed yet at northrop grumman they are not...
