I have Nextel and also have both the programs you mention. I am on the BWC not BES also. The requireless program allows you to view html pages on the net. The BB program that you get with Nextel BB is called NOL I think. When you go to it, you get just the WAP addresses that are programed into it. I am not even sure if you can go to other WAP addresses that are not on the menu that is avaliable when you start the NOL program.

I've done a lot of reaearch on this one and have found that there is no option for the BB Browse without BES. Except, of course, using the 3rd party programs like requireless.

I'm still looking for some sort of option to set up on my server but so far, nothing.

It's well worth the $30

It's just a one time fee!

Trust me you won't regret it.

Default Blackberry Browser On 7520

I Have The Blackberry 7520 And Have An Employee Blackberry Email Service With Public Ip, Based On The Web Client Not Bes. I Have Nol And Webviewr Both Work Fine. The Blackberry Browser Is Locked Out By Nextel B/c They Don't Want You Doing Html Browsing. Anyway I Found The Bb Browser Appears On The 7510 Somehow But Not The 7520. I Took The Service Book From My Old 7510 And Copied It To My 7520 And I Have The Bb Browser On My 7520 Now. Problem Is It Will Not Work, Will Not Connect To Inernet, It Did Work On The 7510. So I Suppose Nextel Needs To Unlock Some Features.

I have the 7510 and never had access to the BB Browser, I have the service book but Nextel locks it because HTML browsing uses up "Too many bytes" as my cousin who works for Nextel told me he is suppose to say when someone ask about it.

I use the NOL browser. Push the scroll wheel, and scroll to "go to". Then type in the address you want to go to. Works fine for me on my 7510. I can get to any website that supports the small format. Normal sites are a bit of a pain though.

Exclamation

the NOL is a basic WAP browser, but the Blackberry Browser is an HTML browser. Most people just get the webviewer at www.reqwireless.com is works just as well, but quicker (to me). The only thing is that you can't access certain secured sites, like banks. Some work, most don't (from my experience).

Ya'll may want to take a look at the rumor mill, and see what may be in the works for Nextel's NOL Browser....
