I have a Torch 9800. On my Facebook app, I get lots of status updates from friends playing things like Ravenfair, Bejeweled, etc. I have these blocked on my computer but they continue to show up on my phone. How do I hide them? There are too many and I have no interest in viewing them.

yeah it sucks that it isnt easy to rid them. You have to go to facebook to stop them. I am going to look into how since a few apps are getting on my nerves.

I've tried doing this and nothing seems to stop them.

The only way I've found is to not use the app but to use m.facebook. Not as good but at least no long games posts.

I'll keep watching this thread in case anyone finds how to do it...

@OP....there are two ways to block games update....either block the friend or block the game

be sure you have blocked the game anytime a friend sends you a request to play the game....i dont see updates on my bb device but in recent times, i see zynga games updates when i'm playing a game myself

Do you do this on your Blackberry? If I do it on my PC, as others have tried, it blocks them on the PC but not on the phone...

I don't know if it has to do with the OS version but on my BB 8530 I don't get any game updates from my friends. Installing the FB App was the 1st thing I did after activating my BB over a month ago. I didn't change any settings so everything is set to default. I know it doesn't help with newer BB's but thought I would share.

I have the wall settings for the app set at "Never publish any stories from Word Twist." and yet every time I start a game it posts a line on my wall about it. I don't like any app posting on my wall, so hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Yes I have found it is a bit easier to block on facebook but a little more complicated with a cell phone and then it will also depend on your model the exact procedure. When I built my first fan page I was trying many apps and methods like how to buy facebook fans you learn alot about how facebook works then of course they may change it all the following week. Yikes.

Maybe your particular customer service can assist..good luck my friend I know that can be a royal pain.
