Default Favorite Add-On Software for Curve

Please Login to Remove!

I'm new to BB and am just learning what all is available for it. I'd appreciate feedback on what you consider your favorite add-ons to get the most out of your BB. I know it depends upon personal interest, but are there utilities, etc. that you find indispensable?

Thanks!

JiveTalk - If you need IM access across many platforms.

WeatherBug Direct - Free, convienent, and has alerts for severe weather.

CB Launcher - A Must.

Viigo - I wanna stay current on many things.

Opera Mini - I only use this to download files to my media Card (Documents, CB Podcasts , etc.)

Others programs I have:

Texas Hold'Em Kings 3 - I'm a big poker fan.

Ascendo Data Vault - Very easy to use and a life saver lol.

BBForums and BBFAQ - Shortcuts.

Cram - Just study when I need to.

And I got the bPhone and Vista themes, but I just have a thing for the BB Dimension L theme.

That's just what I use.. Whatever makes my life easier

Watch out for Viigo. Has been pretty unreliable lately!

Viigo or Project Tango?

I've been using regular old Viigo and I haven't had any problems with it, project tango on the other hand I haven't tried yet.

I tried Tango yesterday; 2-hours later I uninstalled it. My BB was in Viigo hour-glass mode the entire time - very frustrating. For me, Google Reader - with its faults - handles a long feed list better and it updates faster. Granted, it is slower for reading and there is no email-the-post feature. 2 things I wish Viigo had: on-line reader and ability to export feeds in an opml file.

That wouldn't be a bad option.. Of course I just add RSS feeds to Viigo so I see stuff on the go, if I am infront of my computer I usually just go the websites themselves and read the "full" article there, but we all have different needs .

Thanks for all the feedback, folks! I, also, live in FL, so Weatherbug will likely be one of my first add-ons. Right now I am just trying to get comfortable with what came with my 8330. I did upgrade to 4.5.0.77, however, about 2 hrs after I got it!

My personal list (amongst others) located at LIST: Latest Versions of 3rd Party Software (Mini Version Tracker) is a good place to start. As with all CrackBerry Addicts, I have reviewed, commented and tried numerous apps and have listed what I feel are best-of-breed apps for overall mobile utility.
