Default Curve Resets

Please Login to Remove!

Lately I've been noticing my Curve resetting on me. I'll be in the middle of something, like browsing the Internet, when my phone will reset. When the phone comes back on it says "Verifying Security Software" and starts back up again. I'd say my phone resets on average once/day to once/2 days. The problem has only recently begun and I've had the phone longer than 30 days...so swapping it out isn't an option.

Anyone else experience this or know the reason why my phone is resetting? Is this normal and is it fixable?

Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I've heard of people returning for this reason. I would try updating the software or wiping and reloading the same OS.

Default Curve browser & phone resetting

Hi,
Mine has been doing the same from day 1,
While browsing with the BB Browser certain sites, and you click a link that is a Java Pop up, the device resets, the same at times while on a phone call,

Tried all emulations (BB, IE, Netscape, etc), all different options, loaded 4 different OSes, always the same, don't know if at this point it's some hardware defect and hope to be on time to exchange the phone, but doubt it's a hardware issue, rather think of a buggy browser (version 4.2.2, 4.2 is ok) that hey haven't patched yet,
Have to use Opera Mini with the Curve to go to those sites with Java pop ups,
Read of quite a few people with device resetting while browsing with BB Browser, it's a pity they missed on this aspect on this model, view it's a Java based OS

Older models (8700 and 8707) don't reset while browsing, they are version 4.2 of BB Browser,

Phone got more stable with other OSes (my original one was the AT&T),

Don't know if you still are on time to exchange, or browse with Opera Mini, which depending on plan and Carrier will cost extra data,

Sorry not to be of much help, but hopefully you should be able to solve at least the phone reset while on a call issue

Unfortunately the problem has only started recently. It almost seems like it started as soon as my 30 days were up. Quality-wise my phone actually feels really solid. Up until the resetting I thought I had lucked into one of the "perfect" phones.

Has anyone had any success at exchanging a phone after 30 days?
