It is not recognizing excel format. My 8700 did this all the time. Am I missing a setting.

The camera is now saying I need to close other apps before it will run. ??

I have never downloaded any third party apps. Do these effect the the normal phone operations in anyway?

If that doesn't work, try resending the service books from the AT&T BIS site.

thank you for the feedback.

Yes, excel spreadsheets. It will not open these attachments. Seems odd, because my 8700 did this without any problem.

I was addressing the camera problem. The spreadsheet thing is a whole new thing. <vbg>

Mine will recognize and open Excel attachments no problem. I am on a BES if that makes a difference. I could also do this on the 8700, Pearl, and 8800.
