I've been watching it go from $99, to $49, to $44, and now to $.01, plus there's still a $75 mail in rebate. Yeesh. They're really dumping these things! They're looking to pay you $74.99 for getting a new contract going. Almost too good to pass up, but as a happy TMo sub, I don't want to switch.

Question - do you read anything into this re: the release of the Curve on other carriers? I wonder if this implies that it'll be on TMo in July after all?

Why would Amazon's pricing have anything to do with another carrier's release of the Curve?

I could see how you'd think that there was some sort of relationship if at&t dropped their price but Amazon's pricing is completely independent of at&t's (like any other wireless dealer).

It's useless though, Amazon only lists AT&T's voice plans, there's absolutely no options for a data plan. Data-ONLY plan, that is. You can always add data for $20 after the fact, but I don't want voice, so I can't buy from there.

Most of us want both the voice and data plan, and for us it is a good deal. I purchased my Curve last week for $99.99, I already contacted Amazon to get a refund for the difference (when they were selling it for $44.99), today I contacted them again to get the remaining difference.

Based on their 30 day post purchase price guarantee, I am entitled to a refund of what I paid. I can't believe I only paid 1 cent for my curve! (assuming they do send the refunds).

I just got my Curve on Amazon as an upgrade for FREE! I was charged $44.99, but that was for the first month of service. As I already pay for a Blackberry plan, the $44.99 will be applied as a credit.

BTW, the new minutes plan I signed up for through Amazon gives me 100 more minutes a month for $35 less a month. That's a savings of $410 a year, along with a free Curve. On my Amazon Prime, I also got free 2nd day shipping.

Has anyone else done an upgrade (i.e. existing Cingular/AT&T customer) on Amazon? Any problems with the process??
