Called one time and got a very nice CSR who didn't even hesitate to order the 8900 for me. :D She said that it would be here Friday with the express shipping option, but I am hoping for Thursday.

. Called on Sunday and on my 5th call I got someone who would sell it to me, and take off the $100. Received it today and am soooo excited - HUGE step up from my pearl!

And to answer the pp - it comes with a Visa card rebate - they rep told me to just 'throw it away' when I got it, since he gave me the $100 misc credit on my account

The cs rep I ordered from charged me 429.99 cause I wasn't eligable for full discount for 8 more months. They never offered me a rebate? Can I request one or should I be offered one?

I desperately wanted the storm when it came out...now I desperately want the 8900. I have to wait until the 11th because I switched to verizon and no longer have a Tmo account. I think the switch back will be worth it.

How is everyone getting the payments spread over 4 bills before I call and take a stab at this???

I dont know. I would like to know this as well. They wouldn't spread it out for me like that.

I think I read where someone said it is based on payment history. But, I have never been late on a payment with tmo. I'm going to have to wait until payday to get it.

I didn't ask for it, but the CSR offered it to me. She said it was a "new program". I told her I would use that option.

I just ordered mine. It was $299 and then I have to mail in a $100 rebate. The lady told me I had to add internet service to get the rebate. I had it all added to my next bill. 3 day shipping. This is my first BB so I am excited

What is the best price any existing TMO user has got out of them? I'm 6 years with TMO but now off contract and haven't upgraded my 8700 in 3 years. Is it worth my while trying to speak to the retention department and hassle them for a further discount, or is 299 less 100 rebate as good as it's going to get? Any chance of getting a discount on service plan? Thanks

Customer Loyalty (retention) told me that the absolute best price was the $299-$100. She said that she could do $200 with no rebate for me since i was buying two. i hate dealing with rebates anyways. Maybe ask about that option. no gain in $, but you dont have to mess with a rebate...

Swing and a miss on the pre order. Actually, I could order it but their supplies must be low now as she said it would be after the 11th before I got it. She did say the new installement program exists and they can do it in store on up to $120 of the price of the new phone.

Basically it will be $299 less 100 mail in and of that 299 I pay 179 up front and spread the rest out. Oh well, the 11th is just next week, I can wait I guess.

Just called for the 6th time and finally was able to order the 8900! I had a CSR say that the phone is "due out on 2/11 but the computer lies and she can order it"

) I took the one year $249 deal over 4 payments and expedited the shipping for $20.

I look forward to playing with my new toy next week!
