Default Calendar that lists holidays

Is there a 3rd party calendar app that lists the holidays and important days for a particular locale?

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

What are you using on your computer...assuming you sync blackberry with a computer? For instance you can set Outlook to show selected national and relgious holidays that you pick. These transfer to the blackberry when you sync.

EDIT: Looks like Yahoo calendar has similar feature. Blackberry can be sync'd with Yahoo PIM using latest desktop manager. For what it's worth.

I've got a Windows Vista laptop. It's the low-end Vista version. There's no Outlook or any other application to sync with. Not sure I even need to sync. Manual entry and backup/restore should work well enough for what I need. I just would like a calendar app that says "Thanksgiving Day" when I open that day's entry.

If this were me, I'd download the desired ICS import file from Mozilla:

Calendar - Holiday files

...import it into a calendar, then sync with my device. Your statement that you don't have any PC sync capability is going to cause you pain in the BlackBerry world, you really want to get something figured out and use a desktop tool (like Outlook) or an online tool (like GCalSync, Yahoo! PIM, SyncML plugin to a random server, etc.) to complement your device's functionality. Trust us.

i am syncing my Outlook to my BB, and the holidays don't appear to have come over.

5Sep08- Finally figured it out. BB and Outlook define "All Day Appointment" differently. I deleted all my holidays, revised my All-Day to less than a 24 hour period, and reapplied the holidays. Syncing brought them over.

I use Google calendar with the sync for mobile application. You can add holidays to your google calendar, and you can add that to the sync.

Do a search here for holidays in outlook. There were directions on where to find the feature in Outlook that would then synch to your BB.

The ARE in my Outlook, since I added them. They do NOT transfer over.

FYI - You may be only getting 30 or so days ahead on your calendar sync. So just because they haven't come over may not mean it's not working.
