ok, I have forgot to say that: the application uses 4 modes:
- default mode (Defaul map);
- using MapView
- using Contact information.
- using Location documnt

it works only for default mode..

There is no solution, other than upgrading the phone to 5.0 or later, or maybe supporting Google Maps.

I should have added "AFAIK" to that post above.

When I hit this snag, I was working on an application that required mapping a location, right around the time that 5.0 was released. I reported the bug to RIM and got the response "fixed in 5.0". I'm not sure if they ever rolled out a patch for 4.7, but typically, they do not.

We wound up writing support for both GM and BBM, allowing the user to select his preference. There are also situations where BBM is not on the device, or blocked by the carrier (like AT&T), so this is by no means the only situtation where Google Maps support is useful, if you are writing an LBS application.
