Sorry to bother you, searched for help on here but couldn't find it.


Basically we have BES 5.0.1.58 running fine alongside Domino Notes Mail server 6.5.4, there are approx 60 BB 8900 devices out in the field.

What we have found is that users can setup personal backup's of their PAB fine locally on their laptops using Desktop Manager, but is there a way we can setup wireless backup's of the PAB to our BES?
In the past if the BB 8900 have had some sort of hardware error and the user hasn't backed-up, then they've lost all their contacts.

Surely this must be possible, he says?

Is there any reason why you are not wirelessly synching their PABs with their notes client PAB via the BES?
Yes, users need to be roaming or have a server based replica, but this is how I always did things in my Domino org

Not used Domino 6 as we went from Domino 5 to Domino 7, but have you looked at the iNotes mail template? In 7 this has a option off the actions menu to synchronise the PAB into the mailfile. You then tell the BES to get the address book from the mailfile.
