Default Is 8300 Going To Be Launced At Cingular In April (May)(June)?

Please Login to Remove!

I thought I read in a Boy Genius report last month that Cingular would be launching 8300 somewhere around 3rd week of April. Is that still in the cards?

That was merely speculation then - and still is now. That was never a solid fact.

Agreed... it's all speculation from what I've read but I am hoping with you that it will come out in April as my contract with Verizon is up today and desperately need a new phone. 8300 with Camera will be sweet.. would love to have Wi-Fi as well but not a necessity.

Boy Genie has been pretty well good on his dates, but he has also missed so until it is announced . . . . yep, all speculation.

I think BG even mentioned that it was speculation and that he didn't have any guess at it. Who knows, I will be pumped if it turns out to be true though.

That date is coming up pretty soon.
Usually RIM will make an official announcement a week or so before.
If that proves true this time, we should hear this week.....

Default 8300

We are in the process of moving our corporate accounts from Verizon to Cingular. We moved a batch when the 8800 came out. We told our Cingular Rep we would move the balance on delivery of the 8300. We are told to expect delivery Friday the 20th or Monday the 23rd.

Well, that classifies it as a very, very firm rumor.

I am meeting with a T-Mobile Global Account Team today. Not store reps. Let's see what they say (prediction: NOTHING - they won't tell me one word). But I will definitely check what devices THEY are carrying. Maybe they'll bring me a new 88xx.

You do realize that word is that a non WiFi 83XX (probably the 8300) is in the works, right?

What about the 8500, I heard BB's working on that one too. And the 8900 will be able to act like a tricorder on star trek, the 8910 will include a phaser, 8920 phaser and camera, 8932 will get better gas milage and be greener, 8946 will have all of these combined but not be green, 8955 will weight 1oz. will 81 gb of itunes preloaded, and 8969 will be very sexy indeed. The only one that is better than the 8969 would be the 8988.
