Please Login to Remove!

My phone is s blackberry 9810 torch. Every few seconds it just freezes for up to 30seconds! This has been going on for a while and it really irritating when you can't use basic phone features because it freezes ever so often.

It took me a while to type this message because the phone kept on freezing. What should I do?

Have you tried battery pull?

How much free memory do you have?

When you say "lots of memory" are you including the memory card? What is the memory being used by the Apps and phone?

Delete any third-party themes & then pull the battery for one minute.
Delete the last couple apps you downloaded & then pull the battery for one minute.

If that doesn't stop the freezing, try removing your media card and your BB without it for a day. That would mean no downloading more ringtones or taking new pictures. If that cures the freezes you might need to try a new media card. This is not a common occurrence but it's not unheard of either.

Finally, if none of that helps you might want to try changing the os version you're running. Move up to 7.1, or move back down to 7.0.

You can also try using the BlackBerry Device Analyzer or BlackBerry Application Monitor to help identify the offending program.

My own Torch freezes all the time and the Pad which moves the curser freezes too, and I've tried to reboot it by taking the battery out, waiting for like 10-20 seconds then put the battery back in and retart the phone.

I have the same problem...I have 7.4mb free space in App storage; 6.2 GB free space in media storage; and 1.9 GB free space on media card....I have only downloaded about 5 apps on my phone so I don't think that should be the problem...Ive tried upgrading my OS on this site but every time it gets stuck on "back up device data" on smart card options and won't allow me to complete the upgrade...any ideas? I'm currently running 7.0.0.583
